National Trust - Bank Better, Drop Barclays!
The National Trust is a loved and treasured British institution. It contributes more to the conservation of our countryside and heritage than almost any other organisation. That is why we are so saddened by the National Trust banking with Barclays – the biggest funder of fossil fuels in Europe.
Despite campaigners engaging with The National Trust, urging them to drop Barclays, they have decided to continue their relationship with a bank that finances the destruction of the very environments that the National Trust strives to protect.
Big charities around the country are already dropping Barclays, such as Christian Aid and Oxfam. Despite its leadership in conservation and wildlife protection, the National Trust is still lagging behind them.
We are calling for the National Trust to stop banking with Barclays and move to a fossil free bank.

We're planning to visit every National Trust property in the UK
There are over 600 National Trust sites all across the UK. We are encouraging individuals and groups to visit their local trust site and holding an action either inside or outside the grounds.
The vibe of the actions is that they will be peaceful, fun, family-friendly and creative. We want to get across that we love the National Trust, but that their banking choice is damaging to our world and everything we hold dear.
You know what will work best in your local area. So we are inviting people and groups to carry out actions creatively, in whatever way feels right for them.
